This is a graphic that I created in Paint that I could use in a 4th or 5th grade classroom to help students understand the layers of the earth:

This would cover the 3rd INTASC Principle:

Principle 3:
Learning styles/diversityThe teacher understands how students differ in their approaches to learning and creates instructional opportunities that are adapted to diverse learners.

Some learners really need to visualize something and this graphic would be another learning strategy for a visual learner
